A perfect partnership!

It’s been an eventful time for Tourism South East (TSE) – a delivery agent for Regional Tourist Board Partnerships Ltd (RTBP Ltd) – since RTBP Ltd joined the ICS as an Associate Member.
Within days of joining ICS TSE launched the Tourism Skills Network South East. An initiative which aims to raise skill levels, professionalism, retention and recruitment practices and thereby the overall competitiveness of the tourism industry. This partnership is based on the model of the South West and North West Tourism Skills Networks.
Further good news was that RTBP’s successful ‘Welcome to Excellence’ programmes have been accredited by the national awarding body NCFE and Sue Gill, Head of Skills and Training at TSE, is keen to promote Individual Membership of ICS to all delegates attending these courses.
“We want to offer value-added benefits to our programmes and we are certain that ICS Individual Membership will ensure our delegates are at the cutting edge of customer service initiatives,” said Sue.
Peter Colling, Development Services Director for TSE, added: “I believe the partnership between the Regional Tourist Boards and the Institute will raise the professional status of those individuals in our sector who work very hard to raise levels of service”.
Stephanie Edwards, ICS Business Development Adviser, presents the Regional Tourist Board Partnerships ICS Associate Membership certificate to Sue Gill, Head of Skills and Training, at the launch of the Tourism Skills Network South East at the Carlton Hotel in Guildford.
