Tourism South East Launches New Welcome Management Course

Tourism South East (TSE), the regional organisation for growth and innovation in tourism, has just announced the launch of the new look Welcome Management course, part of the Welcome to Excellence customer service training scheme.

This has been developed by the TSE Training Services Team - a nationally recognised centre of excellence for tourism training.

Welcome to Excellence is a flagship series of training courses aimed at people employed at all levels in a wide range of tourism jobs. It is designed to develop customer service skills and includes Welcome Host, Welcome E-Business and Welcome All (the latter designed for the better service of customers with disabilities). The newly developed Welcome Management has been tailormade to help managers at all levels, from directors to junior management, achieve their profit potential and customer care objectives.

An innovative Welcome Management Participant’s Guide has been produced by the Tourism South East Training Services Team not only for their region’s industry, but on behalf of all the English Regional Tourist Boards for tourism businesses on a national basis. It is designed to be used during and after the one-day course by managers taking part in the training.

Sue Gill, Senior Training manager for Tourism South East said: "The newly launched Welcome Management course will be an extremely useful addition to the Welcome to Excellence training scheme. Training is one of the most important elements in tourism today, and good management skills have never been more essential. I believe this one-day course, backed up by the Participant’s Guide, will provide an invaluable tool for managers in all areas of the tourism industry."

More details about the scheme can be found on the website at www.welcometoexcellence.co.uk or contact Sue Gill at Tourism South East on 02380 625400.
