Welcoming Overseas Visitors
In line with industry and customer feedback, the one day Welcome International course has had a revamp and was recently relaunched by Regional Tourist Board Partnerships.
‘The impending focus on 2012, means that we need to sharpen up the way we meet, greet and deal with overseas visitors at all levels, said Sue Gill, (seen here left with David Moyser, Chair of RTB Partnerships Ltd), many opportunities will be coming along over the next few years, and tourism businesses will be the main beneficiaries. To gain maximum benefit, it is really important that we understand different cultures and nationalities so that visitor satisfaction is improved.
The new course is full of helpful and useful hints and tips, it is practical and fun. Participants will learn a few key phrases in one or more of nine foreign languages and they will be given a resource book to take away with them.
Welcome International forms part of the Welcome to Excellence suite of programmes, which can build into the attainment of an NCFE Level 2 qualification.
