Hovertravel Handling Agent Lorry Middleton has become the South East's first ever double winner of both the regional and national Tourism Superstar Award.
This coveted national prize - co-launched by the Daily Mirror Newspaper and the national tourism body VisitEngland - recognises the outstanding achievement and customer service excellence of an individual working in the British tourism industry; and will be awarded to Lorry at a Virtual Awards ceremony on the 17 August 2020.
Tourism is one of the most vital sectors in the UK; employing over 2 million people and generating £106 billion a year. As tourism businesses reopen following a nationwide lockdown, the customer service staff find themselves at the very forefront of ensuring rich experiences for their visitors.
