Tatton Park

One of the North West's most popular visitor attractions has taken advantage of a new exciting customer service excellence course produced in association with VisitEngland.

Tatton Park, the first in the UK to register for the "Exceeding Visitor Expectations" (EVE) programme. Aligned with the customer service standards of the VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS) the one-day interactive course is assisting Tatton Park to give its visitors a world-class experience in customer care.

The 'EVE' training course, offered in collaboration with Welcome to Excellence and VisitEngland is assisting visitor attractions across the region to develop the practical skills that enhance the customer experience and increase visitor numbers to the region. Graham Jones, Visitor and Commercial Operations Manager at Tatton Park said; "We were looking for a customer service training programme that is particularly focused on front line staff and will move the whole ethos of customer service up a level at our attraction. The course was extremely useful, everyone enjoyed the day and found it very relevant and thought provoking." John Barlow, Visitor Economoy Consultant went on to say; "It was a pleasure to deliver this very first 'EVE' programme for Tatton Park. The course was tailored specifically to incorporate key elements of service excellence to raise the profile of the attraction and customer service strategies of the team at such a well-know and well-loved establishment."

Management and staff working in all areas of the estate participated in the training which has equipped them with the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding customer service and discover everything they need to know about being an ambassador for Tatton Park.

Tatton Park is one of the most historic estates open to visitors. Bequeathed to the National Trust in 1958, it is now financed and maintained by Cheshire East Council. With over 100 events each year, it makes for one of the most popular family days out in the North West.

Welcome to Excellence is recognised as one of the most successful service training initiatives in the UK, delivering a wide range of courses designed for frontline customer service teams at operative, supervisory and management level. Supporting the visitor economy and other service sector organisations, the Welcome to Excellence suite assists organisations to take things to the next level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
