Bombay Sapphire serves up a cocktail of great customer service

The Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery at Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire recently trained their own staff to deliver a brand new customer care training course called Exceeding Visitor Expectations (EVE).    

EVE course content, which was developed specifically for those working in visitor attractions, combined the expertise of VisitEngland’s Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme and the experience of the renowned Welcome to Excellence training programmes.

The Distillery opened its doors to visitors for the first time in October 2014, after careful renovation of historic buildings,  and their high standards in design have gone hand in hand with a desire to provide world class standards of service.   They were keen to achieve excellence at all levels of the business and were quick to adopt the new course as it fitted in perfectly with their aim to engage with and inspire visitors.  

Everyone will attend the training courses and they will all take the Level 2 City and

Guilds customer service award which sets a company wide standard to ensure they stay ahead of the competition.        

In December 2015 Bombay Sapphire were awarded Gold in the small visitor attraction category at the Beautiful South Awards, and in March 2016 they achieved the highest accolade when they were announced as Gold winners in the national VisitEnglands Awards for Excellence.
